Our first outing

Well, I finally bucked up my courage and did it:  I left the house as the only grown-up with all four of my kids.  We gathered up all the necessary paraphernalia, made sure everyone was appropriately dressed and pottied, buckled everyone into their respective carseats, and off we went.  It was a success!  No one cried.  No accidents.  No emergency diaper changes.  No emergency clothes changes.  Didn’t even have to stop and find a place to nurse the baby.  We made it back home all in one piece.  Everyone was happy.  I have hope for the future.

(Did I mention that the only place we went was the bank drive-through, one kid was wearing a Snow White dress with no shoes, one was wearing a Barbie tu-tu with no shoes, one was wearing only a onesie with no shoes, and no one even got out of the van?  Oh, well.  Baby steps, baby steps.)

You said everyone was appropriately dressed. Oh, wait. For your children, princess clothes and tutus are appropriate. Love, Mom.
